As it stands, our 2010/11 season is scheduled to start on Sunday 5th September with our home matches to be at 10am at the Lapstone playing fields in Fair Oak.

With regard to training, I would like to prepare for the new season as per the dates/venues listed below.

Tues 31st Aug - Friendly vs. Winsor - Abbottswood School, 6.00pm
Wed 1st Sept - 8pm to 9.00pm - Wildern Sports Hall (and every Wed thereafter)
Thurs 2nd Sept - Friendly vs. Hiltingbuy - Lakeside School, Chandlers Ford
Sat 4th Sept - 10.00am to 11.30am - Wyvern School(and every Saturday thereafter)

This is quite a packed programme where we are going to cram an awful lot of training into a short period. I feel that the break from football is doing everyone good but we do need to get into the swing of things quickly as we will have approx two weeks to get ready.

As you can see, we will be playing two friendlies as part of our pre season. I am sure that the boys will learn a lot from this and it is important that the boys get to know each other in a match situation, particularly with 5 new signings.

I fully accept that some boys may not be available due to family holidays etc. If your son can't make some of the dates, please do let me know.

New kit - this has been ordered and will be with us hopefully before the new season starts.

Training kit - Sadly I do not have sufficient funds to replace the red training kit we use. With this in mind I would like to gauge opinion as to whether you are prepared to pay for a new set yourselves. I do not have prices at this stage and thought I would test the water 1st.

Communications - I have finally been challenged by my employer regarding the amount of text messages I send, which has resulted in me being being charged in the future!

With this in mind, I will, for communication purposes regarding training, matches etc, be using an alternative phone, which will be from 0795 148 9206. Please note that I will not have this phone in my constant possession. I will be using it for notification purposes only.
